In his recent interview on SliceFund, Partner/CEO of the Cashmere Fund’s sub advisor Elia Infascelli shared his personal career journey and why he chose to shift from the entertainment industry to venture capital:
Based in LA, Elia’s career began in the entertainment industry. He spent 17 years at Endeavor, where he built and led the Brand Ventures business. His skillset in storytelling, brand building, and audience engagement remained critical assets in the transition to VC – where success often boils down to successful relationships.
Elia is now at the helm of Cashmere, the subadvisor to the Cashmere Fund, which is a venture capital fund managed in partnership with Sweater Ventures. The Cashmere Fund is a first-of-its-kind fund that leverages influence to create opportunity and value and offer an innovative way for retail investors to invest in an asset class that has been largely unavailable to retail investors.
What Makes Cashmere Fund Unique?
Historically, venture capital has been an exclusive club, often inaccessible to smaller investors who lack accreditation or can’t meet liquidity requirements. As Elia explains on SliceFund, the effort is to disrupt the status quo.
How It Works:
Personally, Elia isn’t in this game to just make money—for him and his partners, it’s about shaping the future of investing. Cashmere is paving the way for a new kind of venture capital that prioritizes relevance, the power of networks, and community impact.
Changing the game:
