The OROS Labs team recently launched their patented thermal product, Solarcore, which is designed to improve the efficiency of insulation while eliminating the need for bulky loft. OROS Labs originally started as an apparel brand with their first generation Solarcore-based apparel but has since expanded into a materials science company focused on advancing thermal insulation with their latest products being used across US Defense, aerospace, cold chain packaging, and apparel markets.

OROS Labs is disrupting the thermal insulation market across multiple industries with its multi-functional Solarecore products. Solarcore materials are 10x more thermally efficient than existing insulation. Not only can Solarcore be used in lightweight apparel for maximum insulation but other use cases include tactical shelter for the U.S. Department of Defense and cold chain supply packaging for temperature-sensitive medication. Solarcore is being used in products from major brands such as Merrell, L.L.Bean, and Cabela’s.

Co-Founders, Michael Markesbery and Rithvik Venna, have been dedicated to OROS since becoming close friends and co-founders in undergrad, . Both Michael and Rithvik were awarded Forbes 30 Under 30 for Retail and Ecommerce in 2018. They have continued to grow with the company over the past decade while surrounding themselves with top-tier talent and advisors.
