Nada is a real estate finance, banking, and investing platform intended to make homeownership simple and accessible. The platform is democratizing the $36 trillion home equity market by reimagining the antiquated ownership model, fractionalizing homeowner equity and allowing anyone to invest in real estate for as low as $250.
Nada’s platform makes it possible for investors to buy & sell fractions of cities and homeowners to unlock equity to spend via debit card. Nada’s Cityfunds are index-like investments that offer exposure to a city’s real estate market through a portfolio of fractional home equity investments ("Homeshares") and single-family rentals. On the other end of the marketplace, Nada’s Homeshares product offers a way to trade in fractions of your home equity for cash. The platform provides homeowners liquidity and diversification options, while also unlocking inventory for investors interested in high-demand real estate markets.
At $36 trillion, the US housing market is the largest consumer asset class, representing 68% of total wealth. Yet a majority of American families have limited access to it based on high costs, minimal technology, and outdated qualification standards.
Both Sweater & Nada are driving towards similar missions as we each seek to provide more access and transparency across different financial asset classes. Many retail investors aim to diversify their investment portfolios and, thus, look to invest in both real estate and venture.
Nada has already demonstrated impressive growth with $1.5m in revenue in 2021, $2m raised across 6 city funds and 1.5k investors on their platform. While the democratization of the real estate asset class is becoming more competitive with a handful of new entrants, Nada is substantially further along than any direct competition driving value for residential real estate users through their three-tier financing, investing and banking model.
