“Shrink and pink” is a common phrase used to describe how most outdoor retailers haven’t put any research & development towards producing outdoor gear that appropriately fits a women’s body. To date, these retailers have shrunk the size of male-fitted items and added more feminine colors. Hikerkind set out to address this issue by creating a women's outdoor apparel line with sizing based on an accurate representation of women's bodies and more modern, neutral colors.

• Team of Industry Experts: Hikerkind's founders bring decades of experience in the fashion and retail. Co-founder and CEO, Allison Levy, was formerly Assistant Stylist to prestigious fashion editors and designers, including Anastasia Barbieri, Benjamin Bruno, Beth Fenton, Bill Mullen, and worked on campaigns for BVLGARI, Chloe, Dior Fragrance, Estee Lauder, Gucci, H&M, Levi's, Loewe, Maybelline. Meanwhile her Co-founder and CMO, Chelsea Rizzo, was a creative agent and producer working with major brands such as Gucci, Chloe, Rothy’s, Calvin Klein, Jimmy Choo, Dior, Vogue, and Adidas.
